U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Winston Leu, a radio operator with 1st Battalion, 3d Marines, 3d Marine Division, receives a report while testing communication devices, at the Jungle Warfare Training Center on Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 24, 2022. This training validated the Marines’ ability to skillfully set-up long-range communication devices and effectively communicate in austere jungle environments. 1/3 is forward-deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 4th Marines as a part of the Unit Deployment Program.
