    An Alaska Army National Guard engineer assigned to the 207th Engineer Utility Detachment utilizes a handsaw to cut a log while constructing a defensive fighting position during a joint operations field training exercise at Camp Mad Bull, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Feb. 26, 2022. Air Force engineers from the 673d Civil Engineer Group and Alaska Army National Guardsmen with the 207th EUD conducted the joint training to demonstrate mission-readiness skills in arctic conditions. The exercise consisted of airlift operations, construction of arctic defensive fighting positions, and a simulated small arms assault designed to evaluate and strengthen responses by the Air Force and Alaska Army National Guard personnel.
