Idaho National Guard leaders visited State of Idaho prisons where Idaho National Guard Soldiers and Airmen are temporarily augmenting correctional officers. The Idaho Department of Corrections is short handed due in part to COVID-19 pandemic. Guard members are filling administrative type roles that would normally be occupied by correctional officers.
