(March 2, 2022) Chief Hospital Corpsman Christopher Mascarina, a Recruit Division Commander (RDC) assigned to Officer Training Command, Newport (OTCN), Rhode Island, measure the name plate placement on an Officer Candidate School (OCS) class 09-22 students during the sixth-week uniform inspection. The sixth week inspection evaluates a student’s confidence, discipline, and attention to detail, while ensuring their uniforms are worn correctly in accordance with Navy uniform regulations. OCS morally, mentally, and physically develops civilians and fleet sailors into newly commissioned officers and imbues them with the highest ideals of honor, courage, and commitment to prepare graduates for service in the fleet as Naval officers.
