U.S. Marine Corps instructors of water survival (MCIWS) with Recruit Training Regiment, pose for a photo before a swim qualification event on Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego, March 16, 2022. The MCIWS team on MCRD San Diego train all recruits on various water survival techniques such as: treading water, improvising a floatation device, self-rescue swims and an underwater gear strip.
