Engineers contracted by the U.S. Air Force check on ejection seat components before ejection seat installation on an F-15E Strike Eagle at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, March 14, 2022. The engineers created a modular ejection seat that can be installed in a Strike Eagle without having to take off the canopy. The Advanced Concept Ejection Seat 5 will replace the F-15E's older ACES II, which is used in many other aircraft in the U.S. Air Force’s arsonal.
