Engineers install modular ejection seat components during an ejection seat installation on an F-15E Strike Eagle at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, March 14, 2022. Modular seats were engineered to save time by not having to uninstall the Strike Eagle canopy before the ejection seat installation. The Advanced Concept Ejection Seat 5 will replace the F-15E's older ACES II which is used in many other aircraft in the U.S. Air Force’s arsonal.
