U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Bradley S. Ulmer, an instructor assigned to 8th Battalion, 5th Brigade, 94th Training Division, 80th Training Command, speaks with a young adult about the benefits of serving in the U.S. Army during the Tampa Bay Airfest in MacDill Air Force Base March 25, 2022. Ulmer, an Army Reserve Soldier hailing from Cookeville, Tennessee, was one of dozens of Soldiers who helped set up and operate the Airfest’s Army Village that featured a myriad of modern and historical Army vehicles, helicopters and airborne equipment. The static and interactive displays attracted thousands of visitors and offered hundreds of opportunities for Ulmer, who, as a civilian, works as an environmental engineer, and his team to recruit Soldiers. The Army Reserve seeks more than 8,300 new Soldiers to fill its ranks. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. John L. Carkeet IV, 75th Innovation Command).
