MANILA, Philippines (March 27, 2022) Sailors, assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), prepare packaged food in a community relations project with "Filling up Stomachs, Opening up Hearts" program in Manila, Philippines. While in the Philippines, Abraham Lincoln celebrated the 70th year of the U.S. Philippine alliance through at-sea distinguished visitor embarks, ship tours, community relations projects, MWR tours and a reception hosted in the ship’s hangar bay. Abraham Lincoln Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability through alliances and partnerships while serving as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
