JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 25, 2022) - Lt. Megan Kelly, an occupational therapist at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, assesses a sailor’s hand. Kelly, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, holds a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Pacific University. She says, “Our team of occupational therapists and assistants are trained to view a person in the context of their daily lives. We work with service members, retirees, and family members from all over the region as they overcome their injuries, regain independence, and return to work. My job is most rewarding when a patient shares their progress and successes, and they return to their favorite activities.” April is Occupational Therapy Month, celebrating this profession that helps people find ways to do their daily activities and live better with injury or illness.
