ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 6, 2022) - A Judicial Police officer from Cabo Verde monitors U.S. service members as they prepare to offload approximately 6,000 kilograms of seized contraband to Cabo Verdean law enforcement authorities, April 6, 2022. The joint U.S. and Cabo Verdean team, with support from the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) and Maritime Analysis and Operations Centre - Narcotics (MAOC-N), interdicted one of the largest trans-oceanic drug shipments. Hershel "Woody" Williams is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Sixth Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national interests and security in Europe and Africa.
