Airman 1st Class Adam Contreras, 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels distribution operator, gets the Versatile Integrating Partner-Nation Equipment Refueling kit ready for use at Aviano Air Base, Italy, Feb. 10, 2022. The VIPER was used on an F/A18E Super Hornet. This is the first time the newly created VIPER kit was used in a joint environment and on an F/A18E. The VIPER kit allows any filtered fuel source to offer hot pit refueling capability during Agile Combat Employment operations, providing highly mobile fuel support.
