Jeffries, 52, from Honolulu, died Dec. 31 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident outside Kuwait City on Christmas Eve. Jeffries was a public affairs petty officer assigned to U.S. Navy Customs Battalion, Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group and deployed to Kuwait to support Operation Iraqi Freedom, October 2007.
