Boise State University Army ROTC Cadets Kyle Brown (in pool) and Coleton Kelleher (standing) are seniors at BSU this semester.
Brown, a Criminal Justice major at BSU, is originally from Kansas where his father served as an Armor Officer at Ft. Riley. After high school Brown said he was unsure what direction to take. He was interested in a military academy but concerned about being “locked in “ to the commitment. He applied to several schools but ultimately selected BSU where he received a scholarship to the ROTC program. He will graduate this May and has been assigned to the U.S. Army Infantry.
Cadet Kellerher, another Criminal Justice major, is making his way in the BSU ROTC through the Simultaneous Membership Program. He is a current member of the Idaho Army National Guard, assigned to the 116th Brigade Engineer Battalion working as a satellite specialist. He initially enlisted in the guard then pursued higher education through the ROTC program at his father’s urging. His father also served in the National Guard.
