Boise State University Army ROTC Senior Cadet Sierra Fielding is an Engineering Major at BSU. As a cadet getting her education through the Simultaneous Membership Program she also serves with the Idaho Army National Guard in the 1-183rd Aviation Battalion. She chose BSU and the Army ROTC program at the urging and support of her mother. She grew up knowing nothing about the Army and so far is the only member of her family in the military. Her encampment at Ft. Knox, Kentucky made a lasting impression on her. This semester she is also serving an internship with the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise. NIFC is the national fire support center for wildland firefighting. Fieldling will graduate and commission in December.
