A KC-46A Pegasus from McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, begins an overpass before landing at Morón Air Base, Spain, April 18, 2022. Due to its location and resources, the NATO base provided an ideal test-bed to provide insight into best employing the aircraft in future operations. The aircraft is one of four participating in the first KC-46 Employment Concept Exercise, part of Air Mobility Command’s strategy allowing the Pegasus to support real-world missions and assess its capabilities on the path to full-operational status.
