SAN DIEGO (May 4, 2022) – Juan Carlos Pinzón, the Colombian ambassador to the United States, receives honors from side boys during a visit to amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), May 4. The visit is a demonstration of the strong U.S. commitment to partners in the Caribbean, Central and South America, fostering goodwill and enhancing our collective ability to respond to natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
