Members of the 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) conduct dead-reckoning techniques and map familiarization at Camp "Bull" Simons, Fla., during the Best Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA) / Special Operations Team Alpha (SOT-A) Assessment, April 26, 2022. Twenty-one ODA teams from all battalions participated in a three-day assessment for the Best Detachment, Best Special Operations Team Alpha (SOT-A). The teams participating in the assessment demonstrated their readiness and re-enforced the fact that they are prepared to compete, deter, and win in any conflict; validating 7th SFG (A)’s role in the global environment.
