Former U.S. Army Air Corps Sgt. Arthur Kemp, 98, of Logan County, Ohio, is congratulated by Maj. Gen. John C. Harris Jr., Ohio adjutant general, after his induction into the Ohio Military Hall of Fame April 22, 2022, at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium in Columbus, Ohio. Kemp was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in July 1944 while serving as a B-17 tail gunner assigned to the 508th Bomb Squadron, 351st Bomb Group during World War II. The OMHOF recognizes Ohio veterans who were awarded medals for valor during their military service.
