Kathryn Trubac, a research general engineer for the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL), turns the ignition key while testing a battery designed to start in extreme cold climates.
The CRREL-designed battery is intended for use with U.S. military Stryker vehicles to ensure they are able to consistently start even in the most extreme cold environments.
