Sharon Holan and 2nd Lt. Elizabeth Holan watch as Sharon's husband and Elizabeth's father, Col. Craig Holan, retires from the Illinois Army National Guard after nearly 40 years of service. Col. Holan, who commanded the 404th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, retired with Col. Nick Johnson, who served for 32 years. The dual retirement ceremony was held on May 14 at the Illinois Military Academy on Camp Lincoln in Springfield, Illinois.
