Wildwood Church, based in East Moline, Illinois, was awarded the Above and Beyond Award during the annual Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) awards banquet in Bloomington, Illinois, May 13. Wildwood Church was nominated by Lt. Col. Brian Smith. The Above and Beyond award is given in limited numbers and presented annually by ESGR members. It is designed to recognize those employers who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act in granting leave to their Guard and Reserve employees for military duty.
