    Apprentice James Martin of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1 uses a nail to secure the walls of a southwest Asian hut at a project site near Al Taqaddum, Iraq, Dec. 29, 2007. NMCB 1 Seabees are currently conducting operations to complete the construction and improve security of a combat outpost in support of the Iraqi army. NMCB 1 is part of nearly 1,200 Sailors and Marines supporting critical construction efforts in the Al Anbar province of Iraq and is also currently deployed to several locations in the Middle East and Afghanistan, providing responsive military construction support to U.S. military and coalition operations.
