Vicky Aquino shakes hands with Brig. Gen. Craig Q. Timberlake Oct. 10 during Philippine Bilateral Amphibious Landing Exercise 2013 on the island of Palawan. PHIBLEX 2013 is a bilateral training exercise hosted annually in the Republic of the Philippines to enhance interoperability and readiness of Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. Forces. Service members from the Philippines and the U.S. will spend the duration of PHIBLEX building a pavilion together here at the school as well as providing medical and dental care. Timberlake is the commanding general of the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade and Aquino is the principal of Macarascas Elementary School.
