Bush thanked Third Army for their work supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom after meeting with Petraeus and U.S. ambassador to Iraq, Ryan Crocker, earlier in the morning to receive an update of the war. Bush is visiting the Middle East to promote peace initiatives in the region, and will continue on to Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt before returning home.
