Bush thanked the service members for their hard work supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom after receiving an update on the war from Petraeus and U.S. ambassador to Iraq, Ryan Crocker, earlier in the morning. Bush is visiting the Middle East to promote peace initiatives in the region, and will continue on to Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt before returning home.
