2nd Lt. Lawrence M. Mixon pauses for a water break during the 2022 Best Squad/Best Warrior Competition sponsored by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), held on Caserma Del Din on May 25, 2022. The Best Warrior Competitors are challenged physically, emotionally, and cognitively. These three intertwined domains are regularly tested in combat and are strongly influenced by experiences and environments. Assessing Soldiers in these areas under arduous conditions helps develop both the individual and the team.
