Florida National Guardsmen with the 1-111th Aviation Battalion, B Company, ground aircraft at the Orlando Executive Airport, Fla., June 4, 2022. The crew staged three Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopters in preparation for an aerial demonstration in the 2022 Special Olympics. The unit, based out of Jacksonville, Fla., frequently provides operational aerial support during natural disasters and emergencies. “With a lot of things as citizen soldiers of the Florida National Guard we like to contribute to our local communities, not just in hurricanes and fire fighting, but in events like this to show that we are there for them 100% of the time. Whether that's aviation or ground forces, we are always there and always ready,” said Chief Warrant Officer 4 Vern Pritchard, CH-47F Instructor Pilot with the 1-111th. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. N.W.
