Florida National Guardsmen with the 1-111th Aviation Battalion, B Company, approach the 2022 Special Olympics in Orlando, Fla., June 5, 2022. Three helicopter crews were part of the opening ceremony as they flew over the stadium during the presentation of the National Anthem. FL Guardsmen are dedicated to serving their community not only in times of distress but also joining them in celebration. “With a lot of things as citizen soldiers of the Florida National Guard we like to contribute to our local communities, not just in hurricanes and fire fighting, but in events like this to show that we are there for them 100% of the time.
