SANFORD, Fl-- 109 female veterans from all military branches return back from Washington D.C as a part of the Villages Honor Flight program. The honor flight becomes historic as the first all-female honor flight in the state of Florida. The mission of the honor flight was to improve awareness of the impact women have had on the military. Women were seen coming down in waves (as pictured above) down the escalator and were greeted by a small cheering crowd.
