The Balchen/Post award was presented to thirty-three military and civilian employees of the 155th Civil Engineer Squadron, on June 3, 2022, at the Lincoln air base, Nebraska.
The award was given for excellence in snow removal and ice control during the 2020/21 winter season as of the heaviest ever recorded. The air base received 50" of snow which proceeded twenty-seven days of removal made for an extremely difficult challenge in ensuring base access, emergency response lanes to the Lincoln airfield and supporting over 140 sorties.
