U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division render a salute on the coast of Utah Beach in honor of the unit’s heritage, June 6, 2022, during the 78th Commemoration Ceremonie de Utah Beach, at Utah Beach, Normandie, France. The 4th Inf. Div. assaulted the northern coast of German-held France during the Normandy landings, landing at Utah Beach. The 8th Infantry Regiment of the 4th Inf.
