Cadet Tyler Gregory, a civil engineering major at U.S. Army West Point, experienced Army active duty life at Fort Stewart, Georgia, during the month of June as part of the Cadet Troop Leader Training Program.
"I was interested in the vast mission set of aviation and being able to perform different missions," he said. "With the aviation units just having a unique environment from other branches and being able to come here to Hunter Army Airfield and experience that with the 3-17 flying Apaches, which is what I hope to do in the future. I thought that would give me a better insight into my future role as an officer in the United States Army."
"My parents were both law enforcement, so I was raised in a household where hard work and professionalism were always extremely valued. I wanted to be a part of an organization that also exemplified that professionalism and that service. My grandfather also was an MP in Germany, so being able to follow in his footsteps and listening to his stories of service and how he was able to give back to other people that really means a lot to me and I want to be a part of that."
