A rigid-hull inflatable boat filled with members of the Philippine National Police - Maritime Group, 2nd Special Operations Unit and Philippine Coast Guard Special Operations Force moves toward its objective during a visit, board, search and seizure demonstration on June 10, 2022, near Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Green Berets with 1st Special Forces Group (airborne) accompanied the Philippine forces during the mission. This engagement provided an opportunity for the partners to exchange tactics, techniques and procedures with each other in an effort to enhance interoperability while sharing new ideas for maritime operations. U.S. Special Operations Forces continue to prepare for tomorrow’s challenges and seize the initiative now…together. The U.S. focus on integrated deterrence requires geographically distributed, operationally resilient, defense-in-depth, and sustainable force postures that are coordinated globally and effectively employed every day.
