U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. William Betts, commander of the 378th Air Expeditionary Wing, awards Maj. Karl Agudo, outgoing commander of the 378th Expeditionary Contracting Squadron, a Meritorious Service Medal during the unit's change of command ceremony held at Prince Sultan Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, June 24, 2022. During the ceremony, Agudo relinquished command to Maj. Jacques Lamoureux. The primary purpose of a change of command is for subordinates to witness an officer formally assume responsibility, authority and accountability for the unit.
