A soldier with 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) demonstrates how to properly utilize a Joint Chemical Agent Detector to a member of the Japanese Ground Self Defense Forces 15th NBC Unit during a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) equipment and capabilities exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan May 20, 2022. The exercise focused on CBRN reconnaissance, site exploitation and sampling, and emergency decontamination for both troops and vehicles. The event increased interoperability between the military forces, demonstrating the highest levels of readiness to respond at a moment’s notice to any threat, crisis, or humanitarian disaster in the Indo-Pacific region.
