Leaders from the VA Palo Alto and Northern California Health Care Systems tour the roof of the future VA Stockton Community Based Outpatient Clinic June 8, 2022, in Stockton, California. Because of an internal VA realignment, responsibility for the completed clinic has shifted from VA Palo Alto to VA Northern California, headquartered in Sacramento. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District has been constructing the clinic for more than two years, with plans to build additional facilities including a Community Living Center and Engineering Logistics Building.
