220716-N-UF592-1009 SOUTH CHINA SEA (July 16, 2022) Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Rene Filidor, from Miami, makes opening statements in the command religious ministries department theater aboard the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) during a Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) bystander intervention training. The course is designed to educate Ronald Reagan Sailors on methods and skills they can use to intervene in alcohol-related scenarios. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
