U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24) guide a U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 263 (Reinforced), aboard USS Arlington in the Mediterranean Sea, July 18, 2022. VMM-263 (REIN) returned to USS Arlington after spending two weeks at Naval Air Station Sigonella conducting training and maintaining proficiency of both aircraft and air crew. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
