A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion, assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 263 (Reinforced), 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), lands aboard the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Arlington (LPD 24) in the Mediterranean Sea, July 18, 2022. VMM-263 (REIN) returned to USS Arlington after spending two weeks at Naval Air Station Sigonella conducting training and maintaining proficiency of both aircraft and air crew. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and 22nd MEU, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
