U.S. Soldiers assigned to “Viper Company”, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) compete against the Finnish army's Jaeger Brigade soldiers in a five-event physical fitness challenge to help build esprit de corps among the two nations’ service members at Sodankyla, Finland, July 22, 2022. 101st (AASLT) is part of V Corps—America’s Forward Deployed in Europe—which works alongside regional security partners to provide combat-ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retain command and control for the airborne division, and all rotational and assigned units in the European theater. The 2nd BCT, 101st Airborne Division and the Jaeger Brigade began combined training in Finland to strengthen relations and help build interoperability between the two nations.
