    U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Johnathan Oatsvall, assigned to Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team (BCT), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), attempts to complete hill sprints during a five-event physical fitness challenge against Finnish soldiers of the Jaeger Brigade to build esprit de corps at Sodankyla, Finland, July 22, 2022. 101st (AASLT) is part of V Corps—America’s Forward Deployed in Europe—which works alongside regional security partners to provide combat-ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retain command and control for the airborne division, and all rotational and assigned units in the European theater. The 2nd BCT, 101st (AASLT) and the Jaeger Brigade of the Finnish Army began combined training in Finland to strengthen relations and help build interoperability between the two nations.
