The Pyramid Lake High School administration toured Nevada Air National Guard Base on Aug. 1, 2022. These tours help the Nevada Air Guard community outreach and gives the administration of the school a better understanding of the opportunities for students. The new Principal, Mark Zimmerman's school motto for this year is, “Your Attitude Controls Your Altitude.” His goal was to enlighten the staff about the opportunities the Nevada Air National Guard has to offer. The tour consisted of a welcome from wing leadership, a demonstration of the various equipment used by the aircrew flight equipment section, a tour and overview of a C-130 Hercules Aircraft given by loadmasters and a flight engineer, a tour of the fire house, a tour of the indoor shooting range and a conversation with Tech. Sgt. David Almada, an Airman from the 152nd Communications Flight who shared his experience in growing up in the Yaqui Tribe located in southern Arizona/northern Mexico.
