WACO, Texas (June 25, 2022) A participant in the Haley’s Heroes C.A.S.T. for Kids at Waco Lake poses for a photo at the conclusion of the event. Every participant receives a plaque to commemorate the event. Waco Lake hosted 40 children, their families and caretakers and 38 Boat captains for the Haley’s Heroes C.A.S.T. for Kids event at Airport Beach Park. The event is sponsored by Texas Farm Bureau, an advocate for agriculture and farmers in Texas. C.A.S.T. (Catch A Special Thrill) for Kids events bring children with special needs and their caretakers together with community volunteers for a day of fishing they may not otherwise experience.
