WACO, Texas (June 25, 2022) Participants in the Haley’s Heroes C.A.S.T. for Kids at Waco Lake receive plaques to commemorate the event. Tim Guraedy, known for his character “Mountain Man” in the television show Duck Dynasty, attended the event to meet the participants and present their plaques. The event is sponsored by Texas Farm Bureau, an advocate for agriculture and farmers in Texas. Waco Lake hosted 40 children, their families and caretakers and 38 Boat captains for the Haley’s Heroes C.A.S.T. for Kids event at Airport Beach Park. C.A.S.T. (Catch A Special Thrill) for Kids events bring children with special needs and their caretakers together with community volunteers for a day of fishing they may not otherwise experience.
