U.S. Space Force Senior Master Sgt. Lance Thibault, senior enlisted leader for the National Space Defense Center, participates in an ‘Embrace the Ruck’ event at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado, Aug. 5, 2022. The event consisted of a 12-mile ruck march around the perimeter of the installation and all participants wore packs weighing a minimum of 30 pounds. Additionally, participants were encouraged to fill their packs with non-perishable food items that could be donated to local food banks. The JTF-SD collectively contributed over 120 pounds of food.
