JOINT EXPEDITIONARY BASE LITTLE CREEK-FORT STORY (Aug. 5, 2022) A group of distinguished visitors (DV) receives a safety brief prior to boarding an U.S. Army Logistics Support Vessel at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story Aug. 5 during Joint Logistics Over-The-Shore (JLOTS) 2022 operations. JLOTS is an expeditionary capability utilized by the Department of Defense (DoD) to transport military vehicles and cargo from roll-on/roll-off ships at sea to the shore via an improvised port when traditional infrastructure such as bare beaches or austere ports unavailable.
