U.S. Navy Corpsmen assigned to Shock Trauma Platoon, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and Finnish Navy combat medics from Logistics Company, Medical Platoon, conduct joint tactical evacuation care training in Upinniemi, Finland, Aug. 15, 2022. The interoperability of medical training between U.S. Navy Corpsmen and Finnish Navy combat medics help increase proficiency and strengthen mission readiness. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and 22nd MEU, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
