WATERLOO, Iowa (Aug. 8, 2022) - Cmdr. James Diefenderfer, commanding officer aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS The Sullivans (DDG 68), cut the ceremonial red ribbon at Manatt’s Inc, the memorial was painted on three cement mixing drums at Manatt's Inc., Aug. 8. Sailors assigned to The Sullivans are visiting Waterloo for a Namesake visit to the five Sullivan brother’s hometown and got to share experiences about their time in the Navy with local Waterloo citizens.
