Derek Jason, a firefighter on MCAS Cherry Point, is pinned by a family
member and co-worker during his swearing in ceremony on MCAS Cherry Point,
North Carolina, Aug. 18, 2022. To become certified firefighters, trainees
were put through two sections of rigorous training that ensures only the
most qualified personnel are protecting the installation. Jason previously served on the installation in Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting before joining Fire and Emergency Services. (U.S. Marine Corps
